It aims to inspire, facilitate, and celebrate the development of professional and emerging women artists in Tasmania. Over the years, the creativity and talent of this island's women artists have consistently been proven and showcased by the strength of past winners and finalists.

With 30 years of experience in the art world and a passion for curation, Kate brings the space to life with works by artists carefully picked to suit the tastes of our local clientele. Since opening in mid 2018, Project Gallery 90 has exhibited works from Australian artists as well as some international talent. Project Gallery 90 has the honour of housing and curating works of several artists specialising in painting, sculpture, fine art prints and more. Each year, Madeline Gordon Gallery awards an exhibition to two promising graduates from Northern Tasmania. Two emerging artists are selected from the Graduation Exhibition and awarded a one-week exhibition in Madeline Gordon Gallery’s main space followed by a subsequent exhibition in Pejean's stockroom gallery. The aim of the award is to enable the professional development of emerging artists, while building connections between Launceston’s legacy commercial gallery, and rising currents in contemporary art.
