In keeping with my painting practice, I continue to explore the potential for creating fresh and evocative imagery arising from my experience of nature. In this current exhibition, I seek to convey that experience through altered perspectives within the painted image. As in previous exhibitions, I continue to juxtapose traditional representational paintings with more abstract works.

Through these altered perspectives, I aim to capture the dynamics and underlying essence I perceive within the natural environment — the energy of moving water and waves, wind moving through the landscape, shadows shifting among branches and foliage, and, above all, a quiet sense of something deeper embedded within nature itself.

The abstracted paintings in this exhibition, while informed by a range of artistic influences, revisit and extend imagery I have explored previously, pushing it further within my ongoing practice.

I am continually drawn to the challenge of working across these different approaches, both of which sustain my commitment to painting and my enduring fascination with the natural landscape and our relationship to it.
