I have titled this exhibition ‘STATIC’ in an attempt to allude to the sound of static as well as the disquieting sense of anxiety when alone in a silent landscape.
I am interested in what I believe to be a tensile experience, somewhere between euphoria and trepidation as I move through landscape alone. Always, alerted to sound and space, aware of disturbance and the navigation
of a journey which disavows minute damage to my surroundings. The paintings reflect static observation, yet in creating the works, there is movement and continuous questioning of my presence.
