Sandra Jenkins
Sandra Jenkins is inspired by her childhood experience of living on a hobby farm in Northern Tasmania, with the freedom to wander the bush, river, a huge old quarry and nearby Arboretum.
Having always loved to paint and draw, she undertook a Bachelor of Visual Art degree and discovered a love of sculpture; inspired by nature, native fauna and flora. Living in North-West Tasmania, Sandra now paints landscapes in oils and is inspired by the colours and shapes of local landscapes.
Sandra’s work is held in Australian and International collections and career highlights so far have been Peoples Choice Award winner for sculpture at the Peppermint Bay Sculpture competition in 2005 and being selected as a finalist in the Henry Jones Art Prize, 2019 and 2023 and the Percival Portrait Painting Award in 2022.
